wE INVITE YOU!

We invite students, both undergraduates & graduates, to submit fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that is under 1000 words.

We ask that all submitted work be previously unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are welcome as long as you inform us if your work is accepted elsewhere. In each issue, we will feature a theme and will publish themed work alongside general submissions.

All prose manuscripts should be double-spaced and include a word count. We like standard fonts such as Times New Roman or Cambria.

We're looking for poems that are attentive to language, are grounded in the concrete, and take us on a journey. We like being surprised by how a word is used. We enjoy poems about food or unexpected places. Above all, we are looking for work that is honest.

A prize of $100 and publication in the Roadrunner Review will be awarded to one outstanding poem. All submissions will be considered for our poetry prize, as well as publication in the Roadrunner Review.
