CONTESTS
The Roadrunner Review holds two contests each year: The Roadrunner Prizes in Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry and The High School Writing Contest.
The Roadrunner Prizes celebrate the creativity of university students worldwide.
- You must be a student, either graduate or undergraduate, to enter
- Prose submissions should be no longer than 1000 words
- Poetry submissions can include up to three poems
- Please submit only once in each genre
- The winning pieces will be published in our Spring issue
- All submissions will be considered for our Spring issue
- Submissions for The Roadrunner Prizes usually open in October or November and are free via Submittable
- Winners will be selected by guest judges
- Prizes: $100 in each genre
The High School Writing Contest celebrates the creativity of high school students worldwide.
- You must be a high school student to enter.
- You can submit in any genre, but you can only submit once.
- Prose submissions should be no longer than 1000 words
- Poetry submissions can include three poems
- The winning piece will be published in our Summer issue
- Honorable mentions will be acknowledged in a blog post
- Submissions for The High School Writing Contest are free via Submittable
- The winner is selected by The Roadrunner Review staff
- Prize: $100
